Smart Docs is an open-source knowledge base. Write Markdown in a tree of projects and folders. Publish a page and it exists three times at once: as HTML, as raw Markdown, and in the project's llms.txt. Agents get the same powers through a REST API and an MCP server.

Three forms per page

/{handle}/{project}/{path} for people, …/{path}.md for tools, …/llms.txt for models. Private pages are 404, never 403.

Model tiers you choose

Enabled here: agent, local, byok. Summaries, tags and embeddings run in a worker; a save never waits for a model. Agent mode costs nothing: the agent brings its own summary.
